Lego Domino Robots

Building a Lego machine that sets up dominos is a surprisingly common project. It’s clear that people that love Legos also love dominos. Here are just a few of the projects to be found:

A build described at Jkbrickworks

The Jkbrickworks build is definitely one of the most impressive. It features a flat stacked cartridge feeder and is steerable via a remote control. In this build, even the dominos are made out of Legos!

This is cleverly designed simple sliding domino type robot that periodically slides a single domino out of the feeder. It is only capable of doing straight domino runs.

This is another sliding domino robot that periodically pushes a domino out of the feeder. It has a unique “self knock down” feature that will automatically knock down the line of dominos as well.

Yet another sliding domino robot that periodically pushes a domino out of the feeder. The pushing mechanism still needs a little work on this one though.

This is an independently built robot design of the JKBrickworks design the flat stacked feeder and remote control Works just as well!

Another sliding type robot that periodically slides a single domino out of the feeder. This one automatically reverses at the end to knock over the dominots.

Another sliding type robot with a very precise mechanism that works very well. He sets up a large set of rows that gets knocked over at the end.

Another sliding type robot design. This one uses some non-standard wooden dominos, but it works just as well.
